FOR REAL. I was the director of a free clinic coalition when the ACA started and the opposition swore they were going to defund it and create a new plan. Spoiler: the ACA still stands for a reason. It makes our shitty system more accessible. We still need reform, but leaving people to die ain't it.

Thank you for covering this. Here in VT the full picture of what she was facing as a trans athlete has been absent from most coverage and it's such an important piece. Those of us in the queer and trans community here need to know and push for the rights she was denied. It's so heartbreaking 💔
