Ugh. Why do I keep just writing general instructions for panel backgrounds instead of drawing things? "I'll be able to fill it in later on the computer", I think, knowing I'm lying and just setting myself up for future frustration.

This story came from reading Blue Exorcist and Philippa Gregory, and thinking: what if demons in the past*? And rural! And it doesn't just become an Epic Battle Between Good and Evil (as most stories with demons do)!
Then I developed it from there.

Nobody will make the exact story you want except for you. If you don't like what a story's doing, write one yourself. Make fanfiction, make a derivative work, make whatever you want, and publish it yourself so other people can then whine about it not being exactly what they want.

I don't think it's even that hot of a take but if you are even thinking about making a comic you should try making one. Doesn't even have to be good, a lot of professional comics aren't good. But it will be yours and nobody else can make your comic but you.

Lex shows Angie his Self. Even in a churchyard she's not fully shielded from the effects of seeing his raw state.
