I just made this graph and immediately had the thought, "aw, middle class nouns are messing everything up", and now I'm thinking about what an apt metaphor that is for the current state of the world (and I'm no longer thinking about English (-ing) variation).

Finding stock images of non-white people is slowly getting better, but if you want to find silhouette icons of 'people' they are still clearly silhouettes of white people.

For example, results of the Google Image search term "silhouette mother"
