There is no ethical AI. The tech is based on stolen intellectual property, anti-solidarity between workers, labor exploitation, environmental injustice, climate destabilization, structural racism, and gender inequalities.

Which leads me to five, the thing I keep saying: AI can't do our jobs as educators, but it *can* replace us. AI teaching assistants can mimick teaching (if you don't care about quality or long term consequences for those students), but that's enough to replace us. Any excuse to cut spending.

I am super excited about teaching the course. I just started working my way through a summer reading list. If anyone has any short reading pieces (fiction, poetry, etc.) or graphic novels to recommend, I am all ears.

AP African American Studies. We don't get much support from the district. While I write most of my own materials, I feel a lot better with a safety net so I am looking around for quality materials on TPT and teacher blogs.

I use it occasionally to find games to extend a lesson. Typically under $20, but I might spend more this year because I am teaching a new class without an established curriculum.
