You should know by now that even if a vote happens in December, the GOP's answer will be No. A vote in favor of this CR without the subsidies intact is a vote to take those subsidies away.

You voted to concede both the political leverage and the media narrative.

You should be ashamed. Resign.

Chromebook Linux is unfortunately An Ordeal because they run on very atypical hardware, and Google did a lot of work to make sure manufactured Chromebooks are heavily locked down

You can do it, but it won't Just Work, and you'll probably be very limited in distro choice

Retracting this ban under such pressure would be a major red flag Card Titan's standing in the Magic community and put future Eternal Weekend events in jeopardy.

Take a stand. Show these losers the door.

Whether performers turn an individual profit or not is irrelevant to the point. The opera itself does not turn a profit from its operating revenue (ticket sales) against its costs (faculty, performers, space maintenance, etc.). We fund it to offset that imbalance, because we receive art in exchange.

Individuals being paid for their labor is not economic profit.

We (society) provide funding for services that we collectively agree are desirable enough to merit communal support. That funding is then given to the service as a subsidy to ensure that the cost of access stays (relatively) cheap.

You (collective, societal) put money into it (the space, the personnel management, the performers, the faculty)

You (collective, societal) receive art
