Chemo chic! Today is my last round of chemo and I'm pretty excited. Moving forward I have radiation and my port removal and then I should be in remission. It has been an exhausting year so far but I'm glad things are looking up!

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. To let our fears/anxieties consume us. Especially in times like these. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, to cry, to mourn. Don’t give up though. Please keep trying and fighting. I’ll be trying my best to do the same. I’m so happy you exist 💜🌈 #art #nonbinary #queerartist

Chemo chic. Round 3 of 4 is wrapping up which means a week of suck is coming but it's temporary and I only have one more session after this before radiation.

Here's the first page of my 'self-love' journal. One of the most important things to remember when things are hard. Here's your reminder to just breathe.

So, anyways, I'm a novelist not a nature photographer and my latest, Absolution, is about a man and his pet gator and all the misadventures they get up to out in the swamp. Along with the piano playin' wise-crackin' Old Jim. Pick it up if you like lighthearted, jocular tall tales.

When I first got diagnosed with cancer they had a patient journal class. We all made our small, decorated journals and we're supposed to fill them with love notes to ourselves but I felt like this was appropriate to add right now. Poem by Nikita Gill.

One of my goals this year is to try and finish all the books I own but haven't read yet, which is a shamefully large amount. I unfortunately failed already because I really wanted to read Slow Horses by Mick Herron 😅

Hello everyone! My name is Lauren but I prefer Hibs/Hibou. I am currently battling breast cancer (treatment is going well!) but when I'm not doing that I am an artist, I enjoy reading, playing video games and spending time with my partner and our pets!
