Trans & Non-binary Community Walk: Connect through Nature Saturday 30th August 12PM - 1.30PM LGBT+ Nature Connect are excited to invite trans, non-binary and gender diverse folks* to join them for a walk in Cannon Hill Park. The walk will include a tree trail of 22 awesome trees, many ducks, and some all-round excellent queer nature vibes. The walk is over easy terrain and is wheelchair accessible. It will last from 60 to 90 minutes, plus there will be some post-walk drinks and snacks at the MAC. A FREE £5 voucher will be provided for each attendee towards food and drink. Booking is essential, and further details, such as the meet-up point, will be emailed to you before the event. Link in bio. If you need to bring a support worker or carer who is cisgender, they are welcome but will need to book a place as well.

Wednesday Wildlife Walk Wednesday 2nd July 2025 - 6PM A 1 to 1.5 hour long evening walk where we visit local wildlife at the Great Park reservoir and nip to the pub for some grub. Peas for the critters shall be provided. Meet up point - Morrisons Rubery Entrance, Birmingham, B45 9AH - 63/49 bus. Trail - Through the woods to the Great Park Reservoir, along the Rea Valley Trail, ending at the Cambridge pub in Longbridge. Terrain - Mostly flat, the first section can get muddy if it rains. The route can be altered for wheelchair accessibility. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but they will need to be kept well away from the critters at the reservoir.

I had a sad week last week (nothing dire or cat-related, just stupid bs that wears you down), but then today my friend Adelle was casually like “oh, I have something for you” and pulls out AN ENVELOPE OF VINTAGE CAT PHOTOS. It was the right thing at the right time to make everything better. 💕

I raised my two sons on the love of reading. They always carried a book in their pocket. My younger son died 22 years ago at the age of 24. He was buried in his leather jacket with the book he was reading in the pocket to read in the afterlife.
