This budget once again delivers investments to expand our economy, improve our schools, and create safe communities all across Pennsylvania. It's a budget that puts the people of Pennsylvania first and keeps us competitive as we look to build a Commonwealth that works for everyone.

On Veterans Day, we thank every Pennsylvanian who answered the call to bravely serve their country and fight for us all to be free.

Today, we honor you.

Pennsylvania has nearly 700,000 veterans living in this Commonwealth who have made extraordinary sacrifices to protect democracy and American freedoms at home and abroad.

I was honored to visit a few of them this morning to thank them for their service and their dedication to this country.

Across Pennsylvania, I’ve heard how expensive raising a child is – and as a parent, my family feels that as well.

We’re laser-focused on putting money back into the pockets of parents. That’s why we tripled the Child Care Tax Credit for parents and delivered universal free breakfast for students.

Food should never be a political bargaining chip, especially at a time where we’re seeing record lay-offs, grocery prices rising, and economic instability because of the actions of the Trump administration.

They are deliberately choosing not to provide full SNAP benefits for November.
November 6, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Yesterday, Pennsylvania held another safe and secure election, and I want to thank the efforts of our dedicated public servants who worked to ensure a successful election day.

Only a few months ago, the Trump administration gave tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires, and now the federal government is refusing to feed children, seniors, working families and disabled veterans.

Get out and vote, Pennsylvania!
November 4, 2025 at 3:37 PM
On Friday, @governor.pa.gov signed a disaster declaration to send $5 million to our food banks and raised over $1 million in private donations.

Pennsylvania is working to feed people while the Trump administration chooses to let Americans go hungry.
November 3, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Because of our lawsuit, the federal government will now partially fund SNAP benefits this month with the emergency funds they already had set aside for this purpose. It shouldn't take a lawsuit to force the Trump administration to provide government services to our most vulnerable citizens.
November 3, 2025 at 6:02 PM
Today, Pennsylvania is taking additional action by driving out $5 million to our food banks and raised an initial $1 million from private sector donations to support the SNAP Emergency Relief Fund.

The federal government is choosing to starve Americans. Pennsylvania is working to keep people fed.

Without federal action, the loss of SNAP benefits to 2 million Pennsylvanians will be devastating.

The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress have the responsibility to end this shutdown and prevent Americans from going hungry.
October 30, 2025 at 8:36 PM
Right now, the Trump administration has the power to release federal money, taxpayer dollars, to fund the SNAP program, but he's choosing not to.

2 million Pennsylvanians rely on SNAP, 2 million that will go hungry on November 1st. This is a man-made crisis, made by Donald Trump.
October 30, 2025 at 1:28 PM
2M Pennsylvanians will lose SNAP benefits in November because Congressional Republicans refuse to reopen the federal government.

Republicans control the White House & Congress, and they have a responsibility to govern. There is absolutely no reason Americans should go hungry on November 1st.

Last year, North Lebanon and North Cornwall townships took the initiative to regionalize their police forces. And with the help of state grants, the merge was successful and created a police department better able to serve their communities.

Pennsylvania is proud to be a partner in this work.

No matter if you're in Philadelphia or Erie, Pennsylvanians want economic opportunities for themselves and their children. That's why this administration has taken an all-of-the-above approach and creating more jobs, safer communities, and more opportunities to advance in your career.

In my home town of McKeesport, students are seeing new opportunities to expand their skills, get career advice, and connect with future employers.

With targeted state investments, programs like these are growing, giving our students the chance to learn something new and expand their options.

It is our responsibility to leave the next generation a country that's stronger than which we founded and where good public service is the standard in government.

We can do this and face all of our other challenges when we work together.
October 23, 2025 at 3:25 PM
We’re proud to work with our neighbors in the northeast like Massachusetts to collaborate on the similar issues we’re facing.

Whether it’s mass transit or affordable housing, these partnerships are crucial as we face these challenges & look to build a better future.

No matter how many times politicians try to put up barriers for voting, the Governor and I will always protect your right and your freedom to vote in this Commonwealth.

This summer, Congressional Republicans voted to kick 310,000 Pennsylvanians off Medicaid to give their billionaire friends tax breaks.

With this shutdown, 2M Pennsylvanians will lose SNAP benefits in November unless Republicans go back to DC & pass a budget that protects healthcare for Americans.
