This budget once again delivers investments to expand our economy, improve our schools, and create safe communities all across Pennsylvania. It's a budget that puts the people of Pennsylvania first and keeps us competitive as we look to build a Commonwealth that works for everyone.

On Veterans Day, we thank every Pennsylvanian who answered the call to bravely serve their country and fight for us all to be free.

Today, we honor you.
November 11, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Pennsylvania has nearly 700,000 veterans living in this Commonwealth who have made extraordinary sacrifices to protect democracy and American freedoms at home and abroad.

I was honored to visit a few of them this morning to thank them for their service and their dedication to this country.

Today, same-sex marriage remains the law of the land.

I'm grateful to see this result for our LGBTQ+ community. And while we continue to see attacks from lawmakers against LGBTQ+ individuals, the Shapiro-Davis Administration will continue to defend your right to love in this Commonwealth.

Through all the chaos in Washington, we took action. Right now, SNAP benefits are being processed and the FULL amount owed to people who have not received benefits is being processed.

While the Trump administration tried to starve Americans, Pennsylvania made sure people didn't go hungry.
BREAKING: Pennsylvania is now driving out November SNAP benefits.

After we won in court yesterday, we moved quickly to start getting benefits loaded on EBT cards and out the door — and we're working to get every Pennsylvanian currently waiting for federal food assistance benefits what they're owed.

Pennsylvania is driving out a new investment of $21 million — creating 11 business centers to help small business owners find the tools they need to grow.

From one-on-one business counseling to procurement support, these centers will provide helpful resources our small businesses need to succeed.

Across Pennsylvania, I’ve heard how expensive raising a child is – and as a parent, my family feels that as well.

We’re laser-focused on putting money back into the pockets of parents. That’s why we tripled the Child Care Tax Credit for parents and delivered universal free breakfast for students.

Food should never be a political bargaining chip, especially at a time where we’re seeing record lay-offs, grocery prices rising, and economic instability because of the actions of the Trump administration.

They are deliberately choosing not to provide full SNAP benefits for November.

Here in Pennsylvania, on day 37 of the federal government shutdown, we've taken steps to reduce burdens on families who have gone 37 days without pay.

The Shapiro-Davis Administration is always proud to support our small businesses.

Today, we’re investing $21 million to create 11 new business centers to provide small businesses with the tools they need to grow.

It's a boost to our economy and a boost in our competitiveness.

Yesterday, Pennsylvania held another safe and secure election, and I want to thank the efforts of our dedicated public servants who worked to ensure a successful election day.

Only a few months ago, the Trump administration gave tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires, and now the federal government is refusing to feed children, seniors, working families and disabled veterans.

On Friday, @governor.pa.gov signed a disaster declaration to send $5 million to our food banks and raised over $1 million in private donations.

Pennsylvania is working to feed people while the Trump administration chooses to let Americans go hungry.

Because of our lawsuit, the federal government will now partially fund SNAP benefits this month with the emergency funds they already had set aside for this purpose. It shouldn't take a lawsuit to force the Trump administration to provide government services to our most vulnerable citizens.

Today, Pennsylvanians are now waking up to ACA open enrollment with rates in Pennsylvania jumping on average 21.5% – and without enhanced tax credits, rates will soar even higher beginning in 2026.

This is a direct result of Republicans in Congress refusing to fund affordable healthcare.
November 1, 2025 at 1:53 PM
From Blayre, Harper and myself, happy Halloween, Pennsylvania!

Please celebrate responsibly, look both ways before you cross the street, and drive slow tonight.
October 31, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Today, Pennsylvania is taking additional action by driving out $5 million to our food banks and raised an initial $1 million from private sector donations to support the SNAP Emergency Relief Fund.

The federal government is choosing to starve Americans. Pennsylvania is working to keep people fed.

Without federal action, the loss of SNAP benefits to 2 million Pennsylvanians will be devastating.

The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress have the responsibility to end this shutdown and prevent Americans from going hungry.

Today, first responders will be able to claim workers' compensation easier than ever before for post-traumatic stress injuries sustained while on the job.

By lowering the burden of proof for PTSI's, first responders can receive the support they need to recover after experiencing a traumatic event.
October 30, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Right now, the Trump administration has the power to release federal money, taxpayer dollars, to fund the SNAP program, but he's choosing not to.

2 million Pennsylvanians rely on SNAP, 2 million that will go hungry on November 1st. This is a man-made crisis, made by Donald Trump.
October 30, 2025 at 1:28 PM
2M Pennsylvanians will lose SNAP benefits in November because Congressional Republicans refuse to reopen the federal government.

Republicans control the White House & Congress, and they have a responsibility to govern. There is absolutely no reason Americans should go hungry on November 1st.
