I see a fair few people saying that FSG should’ve handled Trent’s contract situation better (mainly on X and other platforms), and while I do agree to some extent I want to bring an alternative perspective;

Imagine coming to arguably the hardest league in the world for the first time, taking over after the club’s best manager in 30 years, and still maintaining an 82% win rate after 28 games. Genuinely above anything anyone could’ve reasonably expected from him

I’d be keen to see how Slot would have him play should it materialise. Looking at Feyernoords 9 (Santiago Gimenez) last year under him, he seems to have been more of an out-and-out striker than false 9.

Admittedly I haven’t watched any of their games so I can’t 100% vouch for that.

Would be interesting. Higher G/A p/g than both Nunez and Jota. Also much higher aerials duels won, but his chance creations and defensive actions are much lower.

I’d definitely take him, especially if one of the two leaves. Would bring a very different profile to what we’ve had the past few yeats
