How exactly are these calculated? I’ve done the average of Salah and Saka’s scores - admittedly on Fotmob as that’s my preferred app - and the average results are:

First half of 2024
Salah: 7.19
Saka: 7.91

Second half of 2024
Salah: 8,77
Saka: 8.19

Total Year Average
Salah: 7.98
Saka: 7.91

I see a fair few people saying that FSG should’ve handled Trent’s contract situation better (mainly on X and other platforms), and while I do agree to some extent I want to bring an alternative perspective;

Watching City - Villa and just heard the commentator praise Chelsea’s academy based on their game v Shamrock Rovers. The game they won 5-1, with *one* player from their starting 11 came through the academy, and the kids got subbed on at 5-1 🤔

Most probable left back targets mentioned by @lewissteele.bsky.social are Kerkez and Robinson, but with Robinson turning 28 next year it seems somewhat unlikely. Ait-Nouri and Davies is also mentioned as options.

Interesting view into Slot’s thought process. Very much like Klopp in that keeping morale, happiness and motivation is just as, if not more important than the tactic adjustions from game to game.

Imagine coming to arguably the hardest league in the world for the first time, taking over after the club’s best manager in 30 years, and still maintaining an 82% win rate after 28 games. Genuinely above anything anyone could’ve reasonably expected from him

Maresca has them playing really well, even keeping consistency while rotating. Will be interesting to see how it pans out should they stay in contention. A lot of teams have crumbled due to not having enough experienced leaders and experienced winners.

I’d be keen to see how Slot would have him play should it materialise. Looking at Feyernoords 9 (Santiago Gimenez) last year under him, he seems to have been more of an out-and-out striker than false 9.

Admittedly I haven’t watched any of their games so I can’t 100% vouch for that.

Fun fact; If Salah had played for City in their last ten games and had the same goal contributions, he would still only have salvaged 9 of their 22 dropped points
