It won’t work, of course. Historically fascism doesn’t even work out well for the fascists. The problem is the amount of damage fascists will do in the interim to their ultimate demise, the amount of time that demise will take and how much folks like establishment Dems will enable them.

Establishment Dems are more afraid of a progressive win than a fascist one because the progressive will fight for a fair distribution of resources they see as rightly theirs. Resources they believe they have a better chance preserving under fascists.
