I think ineffability is often a key part of awe. I push back on the Wittgensteinian notation that language is the limit of our understanding. In fact, Wittgenstein himself reneged on that in his follow up work.

And, you don’t need an indigenous studies degree to appreciate the need for forests.

STEM and “economic motives” are not one and the same. Remember that the Communists have had some great science and technology.

I’m thinking about actual quality of life benefit. The fact is that the vast majority of quality of life benefits are because of technological advancement, not from social, artistic, or indigenous studies.
