There are reasons to treat government communications (somewhat) differently because of public interest to know. But if you do so, there should be a big fat disclaimer on the post saying this violates TOS and would get you suspended if it were a normie account.

Actually this makes her a good choice for the #2 spot, colloquially known as the “whip”. The “bad cop” to the leader’s “good cop”.

I’m not sure they’d get rid of the filibuster entirely either. It would be much easier to just set up a Byrd-like scheme where you can fund the government with 51 votes, so long as there are no extraneous policy riders. Which, actually, wouldn’t be bad policy.

As a non-member I feel like this basically comes down to the fact that non-hierarchical organizing and American electoral politics are like oil and water.

Bottom line of this movie is that the plot is good enough, the pacing is pretty good, and the climax is epic, but along the way it’s filled with bits of dogshit. Would’ve been great if Lawrence Kasdan had come in to re-write the script.

Having underlying politics helps. Being the 24-year-old who has never heard of Pramila Jayapal and then has kids is what makes you susceptible.

I also think having kids is one of the biggest factors that makes people susceptible to becoming reactionaries of crime and homelessness.

I read one rebuttal to your episode and was like, dude… you’ve refuted nothing Hobbes said. I don’t get why it’s so hard for these people to accept that yes maybe the ubiquity of processed foods with lots of added sugar could be a piece of a larger puzzle, but also not the root of all evil.

Few things have made more more mad over recent months than the attention given to this while the Supreme Court is actually taking step after step to make life more difficult for trans and nonbinary people.

Like, this actually happened last week — in an unsigned order.
SCOTUS lets Trump administration implement anti-trans, anti-nonbinary passport policy
The Democratic appointees, led by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, dissented. The ruling, which applies during litigation, effectively reverses two lower court rulings.
