Oh, how free I feel just listening to music and driving. Or listening to music and pumping iron. Or listening to music and hiking. Or listening to music being played in front of me. I don’t care how bad things get… nobody can take that feeling away.

Gotta keep boycotting these giant companies. Gotta take care of our immediate communities’ needs. Gotta keep protecting and advocating for our trans citizens. Gotta put what little money we have where our mouths are. Seriously.

Bleaching my hair next week. I admit the brown suits me well, but according to mental illness law, chapter 69, article 420, I have to change my hair “because what if it looks better this time?” Who am I to argue with airtight reasoning like that?

Real estate school is stretching my brain and it feels real good to have a nice brain stretch at 35 yrs old. Plus, it gives me something to focus on that isn’t The Horrors.

I am sitting in front of my space heater trying to get warm and it’s not working bc our power was out for 14 hours and the apartment got frigid. But worry not. I have a hot water bottle full of steamy H2O heating up my blankets. Take that, poor infrastructure! You ineffective privatized utilities!

The rain is doing that heavy blanket white noise thing and the thunder is doing that low rumble thing and the cats are snoring and every once in a while a car will drive by and create a long sputtering splash and leave a shallow wake and I’m doing that thing where I romanticize thunderstorms.

Just a reminder to wash your hands, use sanitizer, and get your flu shot. I haven’t gotten sick yet, and I normally catch whatever is going around. I am either very lucky or the handwashing and flu shot works.

I’m going to begin posting what song is stuck in my head when I wake up every morning. Yesterday it was “My Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira. Today it’s “Hanginaround” by Counting Crows. I haven’t listened to or heard either song in… a very long time.
