And lest you think this is a representation thing and they don’t include multiple movies by the same creative teams: there are two Marx Brothers movies on the list, implying each was eligible separately

WS Game 4: Cleveland 7, Washington 0

This bullpen game thing really works! Though this one was closer than the score suggested — it was a two-run game until the seventh, and even then Tim Spooneybarger came in earlier than planned to bail Horacio Ramírez out of a jam.

One win away!

WS Game 3: Cleveland 2, Washington 1

No DH and a clear platoon-split bifurcation in the Nats' lineup so I went full bullpen game. Another tough starter for Washington but my two runs were enough — my parade of pitchers threw a combined shutout until Fernando Rodney gave up a solo shot in the ninth.

If you go by Roman numerals: an id-off

That’s more like it! Horacio Ramírez threw an inning as an opener (lefty matched up better against the top of their order) and my knuckleballer took it most of the rest of the way. An outing to forget for the Nationals’ Nate Robertson

This sounds great, one of my hottest takes is that cream cheese + bacon is *usually* a better bagel sandwich than BEC

I’ve done a similar concept for a Thanksgiving hors d'oeuvre (roasted zucchini wrapped in prosciutto) and it gets hoovered up in minutes

Two years ago I brought my aunt's chocolate pie to my in-laws' Thanksgiving for the first time. My wife and I went back and forth on whether I should make one or two; her family is very health-conscious and she didn't think they would eat much of it. I ended up making two, and both got devoured

No mac this year (different group), but brisket is the larger concession IMHO

Reminds me of that Andrew Friedman quote: "If you're always rational about every free agent, you will finish third on every free agent."

Now this year I have finally talked my family into letting me make a brisket instead of doing turkey. Everything's coming up Milhouse

WS Game 1: Washington 7, Cleveland 4

The biggest mismatch in World Series history (I won 70 more games than the Nats) opened with one of the biggest upsets of all time.

Mike Maroth (0.97 regular-season ERA) got tagged for six runs. I couldn't touch their starter's knuckleball/power-splinker combo.
