Before the weekend, I was more than happy with finishing 6th and getting Europa. I’m gutted now though, only because of the way it happened. The no show and the shocker from the ref.

Are the European spots just 6th and 7th at the moment? I imagine if Newcastle gets champs league then it’ll add and extra spot

And hopefully reevaluate how we set up to defend, especially from home. Emery went full on 6 at the back defensive in his first season here to just pick up points away from home and it worked, I’d take a return to that now just to stop conceding so easily.

What were they looking for!? He was quite clearly onside. Should’ve been a run of the mill 5 second double check.

7 points at best for me. If we can learn to keep clean sheets then it might be closer to 12 points.

Yeah he was superb, I just can’t imagine Emery being happy with a midfielder playing at the back again. We sort of got away with it against spurs because they were shocking. Delap could be a real issue for us though.
