Update on the gofundme 3/3:

On a personal note, I have an appointment to fit a CPAP machine today. It's not a magical cure, but it's a step in the right direction.

Update on the gofundme 2/3:

The momentum may be waning a little bit, but we're still thrilled by all of the support we're receiving. If you can, please share the fundraiser to whatever social media you can - our reach is quite limited.

Clearly, it's nippy out.

Thank you very much, I'm extremely grateful for the donation. Our welfare system is generally good, but it's possible to fall into a gap if you are self employed. The big issues at the moment are delays to accessing support, which can be a minimum of 16 weeks, and access to affordable child care.

An area of whelming natural sameness.

I instinctively used a dark colour, but I don't think it makes much difference. I think the key for max detail is probably taking light passes and getting the most even coverage of paint possible.

Watch the laser power levels, it's still possible to blow through the mesh with the co2 laser - if in doubt, favor lower power. It might be worth doing a test sheet of different powers and speeds for the combination of paint/mesh you're using.

Hi Josh, I used Kobra acrylic spray paint, but any acrylic paint should do the trick. You don't need any primer. If you're using a very coarse mesh, you could try using a sheet of tissue paper to support the acrylic and fill the mesh, although I've not tried that - it's just an idea.
