No one should have to live in these conditions nor endure this upheaval. Home is the foundation and centre of our lives, home must be hazard free. Mould causes illness, leaks cause electrical fires, wet floors cause falls; these homes are no longer safe and must be repaired urgently @chtra.org.uk
Anthony Gold Solicitor Samantha Lewis (@lewis-sjl.bsky.social) and Partner Eleanor Solomon (@eleanor-solomon.bsky.social) are acting to ensure that the works are completed satisfactorily, come to an end, and that everyone’s home is put back into a good condition at #ConistonHouse.
Thanks so much to Antoine Allen and his team for coming to speak with us. This is just a short segment and interviews with a couple of the tenants and residents, but there are so many more stories to tell.

The conditions and associated mental and physical toll theses residents have had to endure is deplorable. Well done to @chtra.org.uk for sharing your story and thank you to @itvnews.bsky.social for highlighting this. If you would like more information about this please email mail@anthonygold.co.uk

Another busy day meeting @lewis-sjl.bsky.social from @anthonygoldlaw.bsky.social, our fire and structural engineers, Alicia and Sean, so many neighbours from our building and others on the estate, and all filmed by Antoine Allen and team from ITV London for tomorrow’s news. We'll sleep well! 😴

‘Home’ should be our safe place, where we relax after a long day, recuperate when we’re ill and where we relish precious moments with loved ones. Home should not be the cause of stress, the reason for illness and keep our loved ones away. Kudos to @chtra.org.uk for fighting back
Horrified at how people's homes have been destroyed & most resdients displaced or living in shocking conditions.

EastendHomes must be held accountable & sort out their destruction of Coniston House.

Heartbreaking stories & the support between residents is incredible.

The lovely community of @chtra.org.uk will appear on @itvnews.bsky.social London news tonight at 18:00 to speak about the deplorable conditions they’ve endured in their homes due to their landlords negligence and how Eleanor Solomon is assisting them in a group claim for repairs.

Disabled and elderly people are facing lengthy waits for simple changes to make their homes safer.

This includes renter Sam who's spent four years showering at the gym because her bathrooms haven't met her needs. She's also sustained injuries from falls.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... a personal news story this time. Thank you to the BBC @annacollinson.bsky.social and Adam Eley for bringing much needed attention to this issue. It’s time for local authorities, landlords and central government to address accessible housing

@nearlylegal.co.uk talk was very much included the progression of the renters rights bill has given practitioners a lot of hope and enthusiasm that change is possible! Some great discussions including disability rights
Well that was a good day. Very interesting and useful talks (mine excepted). A genuine sense that progress is possible (if not here yet) and an encouraging large number of youngsters present. Forza housing law!
Off to the HLPA conference, the annual gathering of the clans for housing lawyers.

At the HLPA conference today and I think @mikey-the-geek.bsky.social rant on landlords telling tenants to open windows should be recorded and sent to all landlords as a meme

It has been over seven years since the fire at Grenfell Tower and yet there are still dangerous cladding systems on buildings. As the recent fire in Dagenham in August 2024 shows, as long as dangerous...
