Me: “…oh, now I get why this game’s been in development hell.”

But gods is it still disappointing that whatever mad scramble happened behind the scenes, that this is what managed to make it across the finish line.

Oh I am absolutely fascinated by how, in light of All the Other Shit he’s done and got away with, what the hell is in the files that even *he* thinks he can’t worm his way out of.

For the action scenes, Powell being the underdog trying to punch up to overwhelming odds was always a delight.

But…that ending. Can’t remember the last time the last 1% of a movie ruined an otherwise great 99%.

Have they? My understanding is that his last few movies has people getting concerned how he’s fallen off in quality and the days of SotD and Hot Fuzz are long behind him.

“…ah, so the production team is keenly aware of *that* side of the Mario fandom, and threw them a ‘we see you’”, lol

The subsidies were lost the moment voters decided Harris didn't earn their votes.

They by extension decided those subsidies weren't worth saving.

Because they were always set to expire on January 1, 2026. This was a hail mary by Dems to save voters from themselves.

Again.

Especially since at this point I feel it’s more widely known how terrible PMC is. Like, only reason I can think to as to why is that competition is so sparse that people tolerate over getting just…nothing at all.

I think it’s them reading into Jeffries still refuses to endorse Mamdani after he won, and the Implications behind if they tried to push DemSoc candidates in other parts of the country.

…granted, said candidates would have an easier time in safe blue states like NY versus deep red places like TX.
November 11, 2025 at 6:13 PM
…stuff like Bernie losing both presidential primaries and prominent moderate Dems not wanting to endorse Mamdani, they pre-emptively reach for defeatism and assume it’s pointed ‘cause moderate Dems will use their influence to crush any serious progressive opposition.

It boils down to them being mad that there isn’t a viable political party further to the left of Dems…but also not realizing/admitting that 1.) progressives are not that big of a voting bloc 2.) not wanting to do the work in expanding and 3.) due to misunderstanding the scope of things regarding…

...nvm the fact that we're dealing with an Admin that couldn't deceive or spycraft their way out of a wet Taco Bell bag.

Incidentally, something I was always keenly worried about is that in Trump 2.0, the sharp rise in left-wing conspiracy theorists. And how the online far-left aren't going to seriously as deal with it on the grounds of their own cynicism and going "well do you trust this Admin not to???"
November 11, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Some of that I think is based on what happened in March when it was leaked that that's what Schumer did for the budget framework, and right before he did it.

...which conversely, if that's what happened here, why haven't we heard about it from a news leak?

Soooo as a general reminder that left-wing antisemitism is absolutely an issue, and should not be ignored merely because “well right-winged antisemites are worse!”

If we got the energy to kick out anti-black and transphobic bigots, we got the energy to kick out Jew-haters.

It’s always telling how pissed off that get if you dare mention horseshoe theory.

Taking a step back, it was kind of doing The Mandalorian again, but managed to remix it in Predator’s setting to feel different. Notably, in spite of it being PG-13, still managed to maintain the franchise’s feel of visceral brutality.

Nvm the elephant in the room that they over focus on the Dem politicians themselves and not the moderate voters that voted them in.

‘Cause they still can’t seem to grasp that expecting Dem politicians promoting progressive talking points isn’t enough, ‘cause moderate voters won’t like them.

...anyways, so Drum Island is one of the prominent arcs coming up in the next season of the Netflix adaptation, so that's going to be fun to re-litigate in public conversation! lol

(although conversely we are dealing with an Admin that would seriously consider trying to ban One Piece, so who knows)
