Should’ve had a shadow cab from the start but not too late to start. I fear the Dems have no institutional capacity nor incentives that are aligned to do this (unlike in parliamentary systems). It’s needed tho, to plot the story of how they would do things differently & tell a fwd-looking story.

Then the opposition party should conduct their own “government in exile” by convening each day and holding hearings, doing the work, showing the bills they’d pass & do so in a way that gets media— but only do it if the messaging is 💯 coordinated & authentic. Show the world how Dems would do it.

Great point and way to frame it “renter” vs “owner”. Taking that one step further “ownership” conveys intent to stay there long term. Expect plenty of efforts to stay beyond 2028

Criminals gonna criminal. Menendez sees that to be a criminal and get pardoned, he wants to get one himself.

Why not keep it closed, as an institution with one party acquiescing their power, it made the govt nonfunctional. They want to keep it closed as it helps destroy the govt further.

💯 Corruption and lack of shame has grown from the local to national level. Media/big tech incentivizes & rewards further corruption (of information), gerrymandering corrupts the ability of responsive government. This & so much more allow criminals to flourish.
