Interest in generative linguistics, history of photography, biomedical research, astrophysics, history (1930s), art criticism, critical history ...

But really just an old fuddy-duddy occupying time with reading, photography, and travel.
I wouldn't say "many," but, yes, I've seen it here. And in AZ. And in CO.

The migrants were found in Juarez, Mex, not in El Paso, TX. And most certainly not in NM.

We do have significant challenges in NM. K-12 education poorly ranked. A lot of poverty. A lot issues in adult health care.

Do keep in mind that it may sound worse than it is. Cultural reasons.

But it is The Land of Enchantment. NO doubt about that.

I've been mispronouncing betatakin for decades now. And have no excuse other than sloth for not having looked it up. Duh.

Learn something every day. And try not to forget it.

Very nice leading line(s). You can literally feel your eyes being drawn to the right.

The only place where old Route 66 crosses new Route 66 that I am aware of in New Mexico is in downtown Albuquerque, 4th Street at Central Ave. Not in the middle of the desert! It happened in 1937, when the highway was rerouted, making it significantly shorter.

Somehow that does not look like the petrified wood at PFNP, where striations are oriented along the lines of original growth.
