The U.S. Department of Education has just launched enddei.ed.gov, a public portal for parents, students, and teachers to report instances of so-called “discrimination” related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in schools.
It would be a shame if false reports were made. An absolute shame.

My amazing principal is retiring at the end of this year. At the staff meeting w/the superintendent to talk about what we're looking for in a candidate I bring up valuing specials (art, etc.) and an art therapy program I implemented w/extra time in collaboration with our school social worker. 1/2

Oh hey, it's your girl who works in public ed. RSV is in both of my schools, I had between 3-6 kids out sick of every single class today and I anticipate that ramping up next week. It would be a good time to review proper hand washing with your littles if you have them and masking when going out.

Behold my first wire sculpture! I've made wire jewelry in the past, but I saw an artist online who made a tutorial (TheBohoBeachBum) and I was obsessed. I'll be starting another one today and have ideas for a bunch of them with crystal leaves. I'm calling this series "Risky Bismuth."

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

After submitting my app to volunteer with the ACLU, I got my "I voted" sticker tattooed on me to remind myself to fight for the future we and our children deserve.
Hopefully this platform will help me find like-minded people that I can do the work with. Located outside of Detroit.
