the last book i finished was The Mimicking of Known Successes by Malka Older. it’s a sapphic sci-fi murder mystery - aka everything i’ve ever wanted. i’m trying to be stingy with stars this year, but this one’s going to end up 5/5 for sure. ⭐️

A Psalm for the Wild-Built is a cozy sci-fi about a tea monk (Dex) and a robot (Mosscap) in a wonderful world that gives me hope for the future.

Dr James Sheppard’s friend Roger Ackroyd is murdered. Luckily, he lives next door to Hercule Poirot! The retired detective can’t help but get involved in the investigation. Growing his vegetable marrows will have to wait…

Sitting Pretty is a memoir in the form of essays on Rebekah Taussig’s experience of being paralyzed from childhood. It’s clever, witty, vulnerable, and compelling. (1/3)

who’s your favorite narrator?

i was surprised that murder in mesopotamia wasn’t narrated in third person or by hastings - but by nurse amy leatheran! i loved her voice, especially this quote. ✨
