I am confident that where there’s a will there’s a way and so long as we focus not on personalities or ideologies we can produce a ‘government of all the talents’ where each member can play to his or her strengths.

The real work starts now seeking to form a new government which can draw a line under past divisions and behaviours and help focus on the many opportunities which are open to us as well as the challenges of which we are aware.

Also even to those who didn’t support me I continue to pledge to do my best for our whole community here in the Bailiwick in whatever rôle I get given.

According to Jesus I certainly should not claim any property as mine, not even my soul. But then neither should the state.
