Occasional gamedev.
I played all of these on the higher difficulties, which might as well permanently put a "you've been locked onto" icon on your HUD. It was immeasurably satisfying in 6 to be able to sick 50ish allies on one guy, watch the Itano circus, and go "MISSILE! MISSILE! HOW DO YOU LIKE IT?? MISSILE!"

Playing 5 again really highlighted that i don't think it's a very good airplane game. Low enemycount, little gameplay mission variety, ground missions go on forever, ect. But the mission theming is so strong that it's easy to overlook it. I didn't feel 6's theming, but yeah it was way more going on.

My only real issue with it is that the hitboxes for enemies feels weirdly big, so I often felt like i was getting hits i shouldn't which threw me off. Granted, that game is also about dogfighting 75 planes at once so being more forgiving makes sense. It's still alot of fun though.

Ah, my bad. In that case, the only thing that comes to mind is the Kishōtenketsu "plot without conflict" 4-act structure that is often used in 4 panel comics. This page goes into the four acts and examples of it's use. Hopefully you find something!

Would making a Twine project work? simple flowgraph branching, multimedia control, ect. I used to do story outlines and even level design mockups in twine.

I recall my big issue with this was that you COULD go farm combat to get experience. It was at a reduced rate sure, but it still gave you enough to get by and dampened alot of the "do you feed to grow strong or show compassion and make it harder" conflict.

Cool game regardless, def worth playing.

BOTW being a strange mix of Dragon's Dogma, Far Cry 2, and Assassin's Creed was wild, and something they were committed to never talk about.

If i recall you need to set some stuff up, go into the os and make some kernal password for file transfers, ect. I recall it not being a one click process and took a bit of work. Once it was all day, emudeck is solid, and it's not just retroarch, but a hub for like 30 emulators that it updates.

I love my steam deck but the thing is extremely finicky. Sometimes it just doesn't turn off properly and you gotta hold the power button for 45 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't turn on then you gotta hold the power button for like 45 seconds.
Thankfully most issues are solved with such hard resets.

Thankfully these days there are meds like paxlovid which dramatically reduce the seriousness of the symptoms, if you can speak with a doctor i found it very easy to get it prescribed. But yeah that sucks, best of luck!

Plus the psp version has had it's deliberate slowdown patched out via a fanpatch for a long time.

Atelier Sophie 2; the game has those "squeeze through gaps" moments, but most of them are placed in-front of areas that are so wide you could walk through them. It makes the visual of squeezing or shimming very funny when the mismatch is so dramatic.

Does it count as squeezing through a gap if you could just walk through it normally?

They release a new Atelier jrpg every year, sometimes more than one a year, there's so many of them. There's so many JRPGs nobody could ever play them all. Complete nonsense, i agree.

Oh wow this looks neat. The biggest thing i care about in rpgs is environmental variety, and all the locales look weird af and worth exploring. I'll def pick this up soon. Thanks and good luck!

texas is infact one of two locations where most of the anime in the us comes from, that and california. Most of the merch comes through there as well. Alot of the dubbing, marketing, publishing, ect. it's indeed a texas industry, and this certainly places that industry at risk.

RDR2 made perfect sense after I played for a few hours and realized it was just Cowboy Shenmue.
