So, as a supporter of classical liberal policies, supporting small business, entrepreneurs, science, innovation, economic growth, social freedoms, intellectual integrity, free trade, the rule of law, democratic institutions & accountability, and defence, what the hell am I going to do this election?

Why is there no narrative in the Australian election that it would be prudent to save, create buffers, and build reserves during a clearly evident time of global strategic, economic and political uncertainty? Our politicians are one-trick ponies, knowing only how to spend other people’s money.

Am thinking about emerging deep trends. So far: splittism in existing institutions (eg NATO); shifting gravity wells (new poles of interest, more attracts more); war by other means (increasing use of hybrid activities); and the end of the WWII social/political consensus. What am I missing?

We--Australia--needs to start addressing the broader tech ecosystem necessary for strategic and economic competitiveness. Current structures, governance and incentives, carefully evolved over the last 30-40 years, no longer fit the bill. Here we look at advanced computation.
Tech Ecosystems: Computing Competitiveness
Almost all of the emerging tech humanity is moving towards is linked towards a crucial requirement: computational capacity. Nations and companies are going all in, but some are lagging behind.
