Thanks Katherine. I took a break - as lovely as the Bluesky environment is, when I first jumped on I found the threading too hard to follow. It seems much better now.

It took me only a few decades! I love that there’s always new things to discover with knitting, even after many years.

I’m a recent adopter of blocking. It makes such a difference, especially for cabled or lacy work. I don’t have foam pads yet - I just use 2-3 pale coloured towels folded in half / thirds and stacked up. I did invest in some stainless steel blocking pins and they are fab.

Me too - with school crew and having a blast until it turned. Vivid memories of someone throwing a can that ricocheted off a post and was hurtling towards my head. Froze in panic til one of the guys moved me out of the way. Then we all ran for it down the side streets as you did.

Absolutely agree. I’ve been knitting for years, albeit with long gaps, but still look for clear patterns as it’s usually evenings, after a busy work day, when I get knitting time.

I’ve been having fun knitting for a charity group, using lots of lovely colours.

Thank you Katherine. I have so much fun rummaging in my button box to find just the right ones. Some of them are ancient, some are new, some are ‘harvested’ from worn out garments. Using the singleton buttons at the top with others below both uses them up and has a charm of its own, I think.
