It used to be that victims of murders in the U.S. would be smeared by InfoWars and Gateway Pundit as a way to fetishize guns and violence for ad dollars and supplement sales, with the added benefit of cozying up to far-right politicians. Now that work is done by CBS News.

I want to contact my rep/senators, but I’m not sure how to coherently say that everything is wildly wrong and unacceptable and that they need to do something before things get worse than they already are. I’m used to simply making it about one issue.

Seriously, anyone have advice?

Pretty damning stuff here.
Once a political and economic powerhouse, Ohio is now expected to lose 675,000 people by 2050, the state Department of Development said. That's due to lack of sufficient job opportunities, an overwhelming majority of economists said in a recent survey ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/01/09/o...
Ohio spends billions to create jobs. Economists say the lack of jobs is making people leave • Ohio Capital Journal
GOP leaders spent billions on "economic development." But economists say Ohio's loss of population is tied to a lack of job opportunities.

This is a great choice. I hope they can pull it off 🤞🤞🤞
I am honored and humbled to join @amyactonoh 's ticket to deliver for Ohio’s working families.

Amy is the only candidate in this race who will tackle our affordability crisis and work to lower costs, clean up the corruption

If I’m reading this correctly, this bill would mean my husband’s vote would have to be provisional because he got his new driver’s license just before we moved to a new address.
Ohio Senate Bill 153, If enacted, would make it harder for eligible Ohioans to vote, harder to collect petition signatures, place impossible bureaucratic and financial burdens on our county boards of elections
We need to make it clear: Ohioans don’t support SB153

Any music folks on here have a big book of Christmas carols for piano that are actually in singable keys? The two books I have put everything way out of range for a normal person to sing comfortably.

In a stunning display of arrogance, Ohio GOP leaders have blown past the Sept. 30th deadline to draw congressional maps. And instead of acknowledging this failure, Huffman is offering excuses that would be comical if they weren’t so insulting to Ohio voters

From secret hotel rooms to grocery aisles? Matt Huffman’s ridiculous claims about redistricting
House Speaker Matt Huffman absurdly makes the case that grocery stores and Rotary Clubs are suitable replacements for the transparent, bipartisan mapping process mandated by Ohio voters

Beyond the fact that this is straight out of fascism 101, it appears that no graduate degrees in queer or even critical studies are offered at Harvard. They are talking about people who do not exist.
Leavitt: "Electricians, plumbers -- we need more of those in our country, and less LGBTQ graduate majors from Harvard University. And that's what this administration's position is."

Getting a cut of universities’ patent revenue, making billions on tariffs*, etc. I would like to know what the federal government proposes to do with all of this potential/new funding. It sure doesn’t seem to care about using it to help anyone who actually needs it.
