Great blog,great advice & rings so true.I'm one of the "can't wait for next yr local" will go for lifers but for me couldn't do what I've done this yr again.The big positive is meeting some cracking people/birders like yourself although far away always on hand for help and advice. Thanks Carl.

Have to agree to disagree on this one mate. Thousands more birds around then, today they are decimated.

Birds ain't got a chance mate . What with pine martins gobbling up woodland birds eggs and now the threat of wild cats.

Great blog mate and well done on 2 lifers. Makes next yr just that little bit easier !!. Know what you mean by not rushing after birds when target for yr met !!. Sooo relaxing and enjoying birding more.

Think it set off the hip I hurt earlier in yr & where we staying the bed is rock hard which doesn't help hip & back. 🙄.

True dawn. It got all consuming at one stage. Just tunnel vision for that number . But already back on local patch and relax birding. Although planned holiday to Norfolk this coming week might get me racing around the county. 🙄🤣.
