First time out for a while because of nerve problem in hip & leg. But made the effort to walk up to Noah's lake at Ham Wall this morning to see my first American wigeon. Found it after 3 hrs looking at thousands of duck,think I got wigeon eye!!. No chance of pic. #UKBirding. #Somersetbirding.

Pacific diver at mousehole a few days ago.Had to video then see if got the diver as Digi scoping was nr impossible with diving so much & always out of focus & crikey it could travel along way under water.Got partial video clips which have screen shot.U might be able to make out species ! #UKBirding

Walking up to Turf from Powderham this boat came past heading for the LC Tern, we quickly set up scope on tern as sure it would be spooked. And yes they did just that😡 in front of many birders. LCT flew off and boat headed back down past us. Here they are, well ****** done😡😡!

Well there I was pottering about local fields & wood when news came out of tern 1st royal then elegant but now narrowed down to Royal/West African Crested I believe, nice unexpected tern of avents anyhow. Thanks to Derek Carter for use of better pics. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

African crested tern is most likely of this tern at cockwood Devon. Bird so far away as pics show. A first for Britain if it is. #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

At one stage I had 7 species in this one small puddle & 20 birds !. Time I got scope set up cirl bunting & dunnock just sat up in hedge. Linnet,robin, chaffinch, goldfinch & greenfinch did come down. Much bigger puddles were around. At stantaway farm nr Otterton #UKBirding. #Devonbirds.

Siberian day around East Devon,first stop colyton stw where 30 + chiff chaff including 2 Siberian also firecrest, redwing. Then meet up with middevonbirder at seaton for Siberian lesser whitethroat nice to catch up with Phil(seatonbirder) then found a brambling in local wood. #UKBirding #Devonbirds.
