That’s a tactical coalition right there but will it be enough to stop Reform?
Labour hits their lowest ever poll rating with YouGov, level with the Conservatives on 17%. Greens at their highest ever.

Labour, Conservatives, Lib Dems and Greens now all essentially within margin of error of each other

Just downloaded for a look around, really like what I see far. It’s like Notion but designed with humans in mind!
Team is working hard to ship our biggest update for @craft.do.

I heard if you can guess at least 4 of them correctly, you might get early access to the first beta...

It is foolish to think that ANY increased restrictions on immigration are going to make this mob go quiet. No policy is going to change the far right mobilization or shift public opinion, because the hostility to migrants is NOT BUILT ON FACTS. We know this, we have observed the pattern for years.

The government should have left X after the riots last year. It must do now.
Can anyone explain why the Government is still doing most of its communications through a website whose owner is now openly rallying the far right to trigger a violent insurrection on our streets?

I need you to understand what this country feels like right now for those of us who look different. I'm sitting here, trying to plan for Saturday, make sure I don't even need to go to the corner shop for milk, like it's Christmas Day or lockdown. Why? Because I live near where Yaxley-Lennon will 1/

Racists are very clever (!) because we're out here debating flags when we should be dealing with the fact it is vandalism of public property lol. If it was Just Stop Oil hanging up flags we would not be seeing endless think pieces on this nonsense

Nothing to do with Brexit or 14 years of Tory ruin?

Monbiot intellect has clearly degraded…
If Farage wins the next election, it will be down to one person. His name is Keir Starmer.
This thread explains why.
1. Destroying faith in democracy. The UK decisively voted out the Tories, only for Starmer to give us a Continuity Tory government, shamefully beholden to economic power.

Introducing the first AI prototype of a British MP🇬🇧🤖

When constituent and local business owner, Jeremy Smith, approached me with this idea, I was very excited to work with him. The AI revolution is happening and we must embrace it to see how it can be useful, in all sectors.

Talk about bad optics.
The UK's MPs are connecting to VPNs at the public's expense as the government’s tech chief pleads with Brits to use them with care, POLITICO's analysis found.

In a UK first a new left party had a split…before it was even launched!

Note Corbyn doesn’t say Sultana will be co-leader…😬

If this is the shape of things to come I think the centre left will be just fine.💪🏽
Real change is coming.

This is exactly why I use it for things I have expertise in…plus ensure my prompt/ response game is high.
What I don't understand is: now that we know ChatGPT will just make things up and invent papers/articles/sources that sound plausible but don't exist, why wouldn't you check that after? Like, AI has already done 99% of the work for you. What's a tiny bit of effort to ensure you don't look stupid?

A thing that is funny about this guy is he sneers at pundits yet everything he says, right down to the hedging, is the most standard conventional wisdom imaginable:
'She's a goner': Dominic Cummings says Kemi Badenoch will be ousted within a year

Ok, here goes: a bit tangential to James' point, but most actual normal humans don't have the easy facility with writing that this tiny group of Extremely Online people has, and so AI is both useful and impressive for many. It helps write emails, wedding speeches etc; it puts writing tools in the ..
I wrote this about AI. We hear a lot about the importance of the "human touch" in the age of of machine intelligence. But the depressing truth is a lot of people just love AI slop.

How do we explain all the other times they/ he got high coverage when they weren’t polling at 30%?

The issue being made is this is nothing new.

For over 20 years he has been given disproportionate coverage. And that must be routinely highlighted to contextualise how we got here.
Can we please stop with the fake astonishment at the media coverage Farage and Reform are getting? You know what the real reason is, you just don't want to face it because the notion is so horrible.

It's because Reform are polling around 30% and have a genuine chance of forming the next government.

Depressing is the right word, also because - let’s face it - this is a fight the Labour Party cannot win.

They just aren’t seen as credible on immigration…
Incredibly depressing day. I've spent my entire life being told by British governments how dreadful immigration is. New Labour did it. The Coalition. The Brexiters. Now Starmer. All of them accusing the ones who came before them of failing to clamp down. The same old vacant mean-spirited bollocks.
