It's an incredibly sad day. Horrifying.

However, I've been a human rights advocate for 20 years. And it is the first time a lot of different usually pro-police sectors of society finally speak up against an operation.

I hope we can mobilize the society to change this situation.+

spot on, as usual. Do you think that funding agencies strongly favouring AI-worded bids, while at the same time "demanding" commercial partnerships aren't responsible for this shift?

It's easier to get a grant outsourced to a tech/AI company than to invest in academic computer/human power

AFAIU opting out is not an option unless we can opt out of having any record at all with GPs etc. Even if we opt out, Palantir will still have access to data, we can only hope they'll use it legally.
