Was in Bridlington for the weekend. Would be so much better if it was better served by trains. 2 hours to get to either York or Sheffield?? Leeds to Scarborough - 1 hr 18! Part of the reason Scarborough gets twice the number of tourists?

Always amuses me that the discussion around HS2 is around "blight on the landscape". This is my view from our office window - the main line from Leeds taking trains to York, Newcastle and Edinburgh... You can barely see it! Far less obtrusive than the bit of city centre loop...

Had a lovely day at the Think Digital Government conference talking about ending digital exclusion in services, up skilling public servants (as well as our citizens), how to innovate safely with AI in a public sector risk averse context... Not a bad venue either, the Institution of Civil Engineers.
