1/ I am an engineer trying to better understand economics. Financial jargon breaks my brain. Nothing behaves like a real system. It’s all backward loops, paradoxes, and confidence games. Here’s a thread on the insane logic of finance that makes zero sense to me 🧵👇

If anyone wondered why Australia doesn’t have shutdowns, it is because we have a parliamentary system and not a Presidential system. Sorry America, your democracy objectively sucks.

Good metaphor, for a new system the UX is still improving.
But these kinds of little footguns are *everywhere* in crypto. And it takes a decent amount of time to really learn how to avoid them. Even if you don't do the degen stuff, its still the linux desktop of money, with all the quirks entailed. And that won't ever be for everyone.

I spoke with Langa, a Bitcoin educator from Bulawayo, about how he’s building grassroots Bitcoin education. From meetups to book clubs and Crack the Orange scholarships, he's helping Zimbabweans gain financial freedom.

Bitcoin appears to be approaching a “death cross” on the monthly MACD trend. This usually heralds months of bearish behaviour.

Sentiment is wild ya’all. Retail is down bad but US legislation could unlock a wall of liquidity next year.

We could go either way. Buckle up.

I had a chat with a crypto-curious normie today. He was eyeing a first time BTC buy.

Sentiment seems to be pointing towards the end of the bull market. I’ve lived through one bear market, may as well earn some more stripes.

However, I think the ground has been laid to change our financial system forever, you can’t kill crypto.

The markets are holding their breath. Lots of neutral whale movements, some bullish for BTC, but nothing too earth-shattering.

Article discusses impact of strict childhood on desire to have children. I’m not sure why they’re surprised lmao.

I will yell this from my roof:

If Bitcoin was going up alone, narrative would have said it’s rising with tech/AI sentiment/bubble energy.

Bitcoin going up in tandem with gold? That’s a warning.
Gold keeps breaking records because trust in money keeps breaking down.

Bitcoin is the next chapter in that story.

The Trump-crypto hate is getting old. I don’t disagree with you (peep my comics down below), but there are deeper issues at play here. Trump is the distraction. Ask better questions.

After 16 years, Bitcoin has proven to be the real wheel for moving value, while others keep reinventing sledges. My latest article explores why new payment systems still miss the point and how Bitcoin already solves what they’re trying to fix.

Bitcoin Is the Wheel, Everything Else Is Sledges
Bitcoin is the wheel of money. Decentralized, permissionless, and unstoppable. Yet institutions keep building sledges. How much time will be wasted first?
