1/ I am an engineer trying to better understand economics. Financial jargon breaks my brain. Nothing behaves like a real system. It’s all backward loops, paradoxes, and confidence games. Here’s a thread on the insane logic of finance that makes zero sense to me 🧵👇

I’m currently selling my car, and no matter the listed price point, everyone offered about 19K for it. Is that how much Aussies have in their bank accounts these days or is there some sort of weird dark psychology going on ahaha

We need new ways to signal authenticity on social networking. (Assuming that it doesn’t die because of AI).

That’s why I leave errors in my art, even when it makes my perfectionism cringe.

While I emotionally process that Bitcoin Core funding was *ahem* dubious, I checked Vitalik’s name too. Much less on that front (only mentioned tangentially & in a report).

🧵 The invisible tells in today’s RBA statement (and why this hike matters more than it looks)
The RBA hiked 25bp to 3.85%.
That’s the headline.
The tells are in the wording: and they point to a nastier policy phase ahead.

It appears Trump’s appointed a hawk, contrary to all expectations. Bit of a shock!

Literally a watercooler conversation I had today:
Me: “Gold is at ATH’s, are you scared yet?”
Colleague: “I don’t know, I’m just tired.”

If that doesn’t sum up the state of the world I don’t know what does.

Still pissed about this. Still figuring out how to break it.
Can we please appreciate the absurdity that the only non-dismiss-able age verification prompt I have received so far has been from … *drumroll* SUBSTACK!

Bluesky’s been so busy losing their head about Trump they’ve ignored the canary in the goldmine. (Pun intended)
Gold pumps when the official story stops adding up — and price discovers it before everyone catches up.

After being in crypto for so long, looking at the S&P500 makes me feel … absolutely nothing. My intuition for it is completely broken.

I asked ChatGPT to help me recalibrate it and it came up with this banger: 🤣

“Stocks whisper before they scream.

Crypto just screams.”

Could we all agree to stop talking about Trump? I’m tired, boss.

I’m caving to peer pressure and buying gold … when the RSI chills a bit.

On a related note, does anyone know why the vols are so fricked on this chart?

I’m cobbling together a traffic-light monthly macro monitoring dashboard to teach myself about the global economy and calibrate for positioning in stocks.

Bitcoin is still “walking” the pink trendline, holding onto bullish momentum with its teeth and nails. Since war is bullish (awful but true), $BTC may recover in the coming weeks.
Bitcoin fighting for its life at the psychological support level of 90K.
As predicted, it’s “walking” along the pink upward trendline. Weekly MACD maybe recovering a bit (pink columns down the bottom).

Tangently related, I just checked Revolute and I have like $20 worth of bitcoin there! I thought Bitcoin dusting was a feature of a higher tier of Premium than mine! Didn’t even know!
