I’ve been a K-5 librarian for a long time.
We’ve often relied on dollar store baskets/bins for saving money.
But, whether those or school/library suppliers, tons of hard plastic bins are/get brittle over time, don’t stand up to rigours of kids pulling them out, slamming back into shelves…

I like 2 or 3 weeks. 0 frontal lobe = more frequent reminders. I also like seeing the little weirdos more frequently; they can see new displays, maybe stumble across a passive program or another great book! I had my ELA teachers bring or send em in groups regularly, so that helped.

That is an interesting idea! I think it might be a good project, esp. if your spine lables have a bunch of different fonts/sizes/placements. The big questions, is - do you peel the onld ones or go over them?

I like the idea of having a parent coordinate the other parents! I never tried that! :)

NHS & NJHS students always need service hours. I have had far better luck with students that parent volunteers. My old saying goes: "Volunteers - you get what you pay for."
