An artist and teacher who is interested in inclusivity, compassion, understanding and tolerance. Just so you don't waste your time unnecessarily here. The rest of you, hello!
When your head gets too heavy, get into your hands. It can be anything: cook a simple dish, arrange some flowers, get your hands in the dirt and pull weeds, fold clothes....these are the things that bring me peace. If your mind feels heavy, may you find a way to get into your hands today.

I thought it was done, but..... I think it might need just a few more curls in the right places.

Some pieces I've had forever, mostly demos I do in class for students. I hope your day is full of colour!

I keep forgetting about this space. It still feels good here and I hope it stays that way. Meet Whimsical Tree, my best selling print. She's bright and happy, and somehow she came out of me during an immensely dark time.

Gratitude. For me it's the only way. I'm thankful for students, sunrises, my pets, warm fuzzy socks and pretty snowfalls. I'm thankful for the heroes that have stepped forward so courageously. And I'm proud to be Canadian. Here's a photo of one of my favourite spots in the whole world for peace.

A handy little guide if you're wondering what brush to use. My work is very loose, so I mainly work with big fat juicy round brushes, but this is a fabulous handmade reference. Made by a previous unnamed colleague at Curry's years ago.

Pope Francis repeats calls for LGBTQ inclusion in new book
The comments are a reaffirmation of the pope's efforts to make the church more welcoming to LGBTQ people, even within the confines of church teaching.

Maybe you could use a lift from all the heaviness. Yes, I'm a singer too. Accompanied here by my amazing partner, composer and artist Mike Trebilcock.

Five-year-old Charlie is a natural. He felt out of sorts at first in our mixed media class until we talked about abstract art. With eyes as wide as saucers and a sharp intake of breath, he grabbed that Sharpie out of my hand, and said "I know what to do!" Atta boy. 💕

Peace, everyone. Get ready for a lot of art. I am driven by colour and I want to share with the right people.
