💡We found that people are more likely to judge a statement as “true” if they believe having seen the statement before. Notably, this recognition-based truth effect is moderated by underlying memory states. For more information, check out the published article or the preprint: osf.io/preprints/ps...

💡 Spoiler: Using a model-based approach, we found no expectation-violation effect on memory for truth and falsity in our preregistered experiment. However, expectations affected memory for the presented advertising claims as well as guessing processes.
