Chel knows she's competent, but her entire life is based on seeming simple. Her work is important and she disdains a lot of the upper class, so even though it’s starting to weight on her, she isn’t aiming for a different life. This radically changes during the journey, away from the city's order.

She is half-something; at least that’s her suspicion. She is weaker and shorter than other dragonborn, has a tail, and doesn’t know the name of her clan, so she doesn't fit in with them. She’s actually a semi-regular at Sharess’ Caress--that way she has some control how her partners treat her.
