Bovino daring Gov Pritzker to join them in Little Village then skipping out of town when Pritzker showed up reminds me of my middle school bully who said they would beat me up after school-but suddenly had to get home when my entire bus load showed up behind me.

In the copious amount of “can you imagine it reversed?” has got to be all Greg Gutfields unfunny defamatory jokes about Kamala Harris…and yet, Biden didn’t put pressure to fire him. Tell me again who are the ones who cancel and go after people?

Commented on a story about men falling behind that women finally sharing the same rung shouldn’t be scapegoated into stepping back. This clown responded. Let me get this straight- women should step back to “win” so that other winners won’t also make them step back. Sounds very 1960s to me…..

Eff Gavin Newsome and the Trojan horse he rode in on. He thinks we shouldn’t be concerned about extrajudicial kidnappings because they are “out of sight, out of mind”? He buys into the flimsy MS13 lie and gets played? Are you kidding me??? He’s the Aaron Rodgers of the democratic line up.

When it comes to all hands response it doesn’t have to be either/or. It can be all/and. It the message:”this admin is unfit, unconstitutional and harmful. There IS a better way to achieve greatness” that should be unified-not necessarily the tactics.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the official White House Facebook page post of ten minutes ago. What the eff have we come to? Are we not Americans? Don’t anybody bleed “democrats…” - this is on the GOP. and they have the power to fix. Impeach and convict.

Looking at photos of Musk and Trump and this guy Emil Bove -I never saw people look MORE like cartoon villains. Where’s those meddling kids when we need them?

It can be difficult to counter the sheer firehouse of lies and bs coming from Musk. It feeds into the average person’s suspicions too so it’s dangerous-many seem to think he’s exposing some horrible corruption. Looking for concise counterpoints I found Forbes is putting out great point by points.

False claims about government spending have gone viral on social media, frequently boosted by DOGE leader Elon Musk.

Getting so much insight on historical eras-how information went into hiding in dark ages, how it felt to see a drugged up madman come to power in 30s Germany, how purer than thou ideologues turned on each other when they ran out of heads to chop, how Jim Jones gained control over his cult…ugh.

Gotta hand it to Waffle House. In this age of scammers and people stupid about egg prices their 50 cent per egg surcharge scam will in most places pay for the eggs completely….with you paying the full cost of the breakfast INCLUDING eggs on top of it.

Somehow I like getting mushroom pictures in my feed and now I get a bit of pleasure and a breathe in between news of the apocalypse with “here’s a nice mushroom on a tree”

Wired, Rolling Stone and Esquire doing excellent political reporting now. Also Teen Vogue. Who’s next, Better Homes and Gardens? 😀

If you write to a rep that’s not your own they will forward it to yours. And yet mine in a blue state are already aware. I suggest writing to GOP enablers and put something like “concerned about musk takeover” (keep it respectful and sane) on OUTSIDE of envelope so they see it. Flood their offices.

Tired of the circular firing sguad read history-even Watergate took time. Stop asking Dem leaders to stage their own coup-that would just cement this. They are doing plenty if you just pay attention.
Meanwhile NJ.com has this in an article that bears thinking about:

Robbers: Your bank systems are corrupted. We’re here to fix.
Half the customers: great. Bank-let them in my accounts.
Teller: Wait this is wrong…
Robber: you’re fired!
Bank manager: ……
Bank manager: What he said.

Someone in the comments under an article about asylum appointments for those who did it “the right way” blinking out minutes after the inauguration said it was “purposely malicious” and now I’m thinking that should be the jingle for future Trump cereal.
Or the whole administration.

Jason Isbell’s “Cast Iron Skillet” is NOT about cozy truisms but about how conventional “wisdom” passed down might be rotten and wrong and harm you. It’s about how old thinking can kill or harm you and those who break free are brave and helping themselves. IMHO.
The AI critics get it wrong.

No, Lindsay Graham, the war in Ukraine is NOT “about money” -it’s about an invaded nation defending itself-and the deal re mineral extraction was done by Biden no matter how long they delay inking it so as to lay it at the feet of the grifter king.

I incline to the idea “It’s about the willful stupidity” but in a charitable mood I think it might be that another logjam of time and history broke open and now a chaotic rush of change, nuance and complicated issues is swamping many who find it hard to paddle forward.
