Non American reluctantly conservative Liberal minded person. Love books, libraries, engineering when used for the right purpose, evidence based science as a bunch of ideas that need developing constantly and still believe in a loving God.
Time's up. I left Twitter in 2016. I am now going to leave this social media too. The blood pressure rising from just a few minutes of reading is palpable. I know what is happening and stand with those who are suffering. I cannot bathe in it daily though and remain sane. Stay safe. We are with you.

Not true, America is now home to law breaking indicted criminal presidents who are now also committing crimes against humanity and potential genocide with the decisions they are taking. Expected deaths in African continent resulting from no USAID, >6M
A den of thieves and rogues it is.

Unsurprisingly, the DOGE boys who are supposedly investigating fraud are actually committing fraud.

Here’s their wall of receipts aka DOGE disinformation and lies.

I am so grateful for the reporters who are doing the work on telling the story of the incredible negative impact of the cessation of US aid. The human toll is hard to wrap one's head around. This article is a must read.

Opinion | Musk Said No One Has Died Since Aid Was Cut. That Isn’t True. (Gift Article)
A journey through the front lines of global poverty shows that when the world’s richest men slash aid for the world’s poorest children, the result is sickness, starvation and death.

To those in the south having a bad day and nights with the storms, stay safe, check your shelter and don't wander far from it. Team Dominator / Reed Timmer gives up to date feed on YouTube and Twitch as long as he can keep going.

Trump does realise doesn't he, that the same King Charles III he professes to really admire, is also King Charles I of Canada right? BT demanding Canada gives in to him and becomes the 51st state of the USA, he is being more rude and disprespectful to the King than he felt Zelenskyy was to him...

Again, too many Americans still don’t realize how offensive, dangerous, & deadly serious this is to Canadians, & we absolutely would not tolerate being told to calm down if other countries’ leaders were talking about annexing our territory or ending our sovereignty 🇨🇦

Nobody is invading you man, calm the fuck down. The worst case outcome is a catastrophic trade war where we all suffer.

The British tradition of pancakes on Shrove Tuesday is made all the more pleasurable by the discovery that home made crunchy hazelnut chocolate spread, blueberries and Greek yoghurt all go together on one Pancake very nicely. Whoops don't tell the diabetes nurse!

Right now that position in the world is in the pit under the outhouse. This behaviour by Trump and his team is obscene and purile.

In commercial /corporate application of the law, this constitutes duress, and the contract would not be binding. I kind of hope Ukraine turns round when this is all over and plays that card, leaving Trump hanging out to dry.

Piece of advice Donald. Not that you would ever listen to real advice, go read up about Neville Chamberlain and Hitler, then check your history books for how Europe progressed from 1927 to 1940. Giving Putin what he wants is not going to stop this.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

@scholarspeak.bsky.social up your street I think?
A view from beneath the The Prince of Wales Bridge (in Welsh: Pont Tywysog Cymru). This is the 2nd bridge to connect England and Wales over the River Severn.

Upwards of 60,000 vehicles use this bridge on a daily basis, which forms part of the M4 London to South Wales motorway.
