Batten down the hatches! We are sullied but unbowed! Trump may be the dark night of the American soul, but I believe morning will come. Reader. I think therefore I write.
Without doubt - theoretically. Organization requires more than just a need to act; it requires critical focus on how and where to do so.

THIS! THIS! THIS!

That's the most optimistic thing I've heard in days.

I'm convinced we can't get massive protests off the ground precisely because the conscienceless MSM refuses to clear the fog surrounding the extraordinary danger we're in.

Is it just me? Or have we reached optimal Upside Down Prime when discussions of the Enola Gay have nothing to do with the 10s of thousands of people killed because of this plane and everything to do w/ a man so historically damaged, so unfit for anything, that his existence is painful?

Finally, whether we go full boat or otherwise, libraries offer a wide variety of newspapers & magazines. At the end of the day, in whatever direction the hems of our attention get tugged, one of the most important commitments we can make is to protect our public libraries. 6/6

Also a note: support is crucial - so we should pitch in where we can - but it can be pricey. Substackers provide a lot of free content, but eggs are still pushing $12 a dozen in some places no matter how you make your omelet. Just sayin. 5/

This is all by way of saying, I'm not exactly throwing the NYT out with the DC piss-water but I am (and I know a lot of other people are doing this also) actively building dynamic reference lists to other sources, arcane & common sense, in all the areas we need to sensibly organize. 4/

Yet, I wish they'd leave a blank space at the top of the page so we could write it in ourselves. I.e., '3-8-25 - The United States of America is Virtually Defenseless' Or, '248-Year-Old No. American Republic Experiences a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.' Just so we'd know we're on the same planet. 3/

I must say - the media finger having moved on to scratch an itch someplace else – I’ve come to accept that the NYT will NEVER report the ongoing, agonizing, REAL implosion of the US in one headline. I can sympathize because to do so would make them 'actually' as opposed to 'seemingly' irrelevant. 2/

I'd order one but I have them all... and quote them incessantly.

Radical ideology indeed! That's kind'a how the Romans felt about that pest Jesus, isn't it? Saying stuff like:
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy."
"Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful."
"For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy."
RADICAL!

Does it count since he apparently never touched the Bible?

cheerleading and stick in that dark void where your souls used to be.

from the Rust Belt, and the Bible Belt, from New Orleans, and Florida, AND North Carolina; our families, our history, and our hearts are still there. If your hearts are not with us, that's your loss and we will leave you to the comfort of your cruelty. Ultimately, take your "let it burn"...

fund-raising campaigns, and us normal jamokes pull out our credit cards and checkbooks to send support ANYWHERE that needs our help. "Anywhere" - because we still believe in doing what we can to lend a helping hand if we can and - THIS IS IMPORTANT - because we're "from there" - from the Midwest,...
