In 2025, it is super important for media, educators, researchers, and advocates to link each of these distinct disaster events with climate, just in thoughtful ways.

A lot of approaches we used to use in environmental education are now outdated in the face of ongoing, layered crises. And, for many people, not talking about the link to climate, increases their anxiety (Verlie -https://lnkd.in/gKy9CipW).

The problem with 'waiting until the crisis is over' is that we are now in an ongoing crisis. While each disaster event is important to demarcate and focus most energies on reducing the catastrophic impacts immediately, there is no 'return to normal' after the fires are extinguished.
