Thursday will be 6 months since my mom died. I had ideas about how it would be in part because my mom talked about her own mom grief a lot. I’m grateful for that. But ideas are not the same as having the experience. I could not have been prepared for this. My mama, my mama. I miss you.

How about a trans post? This is my dad at 16 or 17. On T, I am starting to look like him a little closer to 40. And it is an outcome I should have anticipated but did not and it’s great.

It is easier to be here to support my mom as she starts cancer treatment when I can grab a few moments on the beach with a book and go for my first post top surgery no shirt swim

A Pride month gift that feels made for me - all three of these guys, Gabe Dunn, River Butcher, and Daniel Sea, have been people I’ve related to in different ways and getting to hear them talk to one another is rad.
