i recommend this, BUT only if you're okay with working exclusively in black and white-this program does not have color capabilities.

it is so lightweight that it may as well not even be running at all.
-the tones included are very nice, you can make a selection and then click/drag a tone in from the folders and it'll fill in nicely.
-default paper sizes included are nice
-it is free

-it would not register the strokes inputted by either my mouse or drawing tablet, and i would have to click/draw repeatedly for it to be registered. now for some pros:

-very VERY lightweight: took up 28 mb of my 12 gb ram, most modern hardware should play nice with it.

you can get it off of the internet archive for free (archive.org/details/ms-d...). despite being very old, it is generally compatible with modern OS (i am running windows 11). the only issue i noticed that i could chalk up to a compatibility problem was that sometimes-
