After nearly two hours on hold I got told MART can't fix the trip error, so now I have to cancel/reschedule mom's appointment. ARGH
And MART's error (assigning a company with vehicles mom can't use) was one they had no excuse for making as they were already aware that company was incompatible. ARGH

Nor were people actually nicer or smarter pre-internet.
It's certainly much easier to spread abuse, idiocy, and dishonesty now which is a genuine serious problem created by the internet, but the bad behavior in question itself already existed and was not itself caused by the internet.
