Right? I would rather have a big tent pro-democracy Democratic Party negotiate policy amongst its own factions while maintaining legislative control rather than be forced to deal with Republicans on any level.

Somebody pointed out that there are specific ceremonial troops that are trained for parade marches, but Trump/Hegseth chose to use duty soldiers instead (which precludes them from doing their normal duties). So likely not malicious compliance from the troops but administrative incompetence.

Trump lost something like 60 court cases attempting to litigate the 2020 election. He’ll lose every one of these college/law firm shakedowns, too. The institutions just need to have a modicum of bravery and fight.
