Nine days later and I finally got the shadows to be "good enough" for now. They're not perfect, and there's a few bugs I need to fix, but I am sick of doing shadows and I want to start adding more things to the engine lol

Someone left a bunch of boxes in my dungeon!

I got the sight cones sorted out, this could be made shorter (or narrower!) for a darker room.

I also reworked how the tile map stores data, so "cells" can contain multiple tiles, and they're offset properly when drawn!

Okay so it turns out isometric stuff is actually a giant pain in the ass, props to anyone who puts themselves through this kind of thing because it's such a tedious process to get it right #gamedev

It's going okay so far, not yet sure how I want to expand this to a cone shape since I want to avoid checking the same points multiple times, but I've worked with this line algorithm enough times in other projects to get to this point easily enough

Adding lights to my game engine before even having any entities or literally anything else is probably silly but... it's my engine and I get to decide the point of obsession #gamedev
