Didn’t think it was a poor performance at all. It was a toss of a coin game and in another day could easily have been a win. Slot deserved criticism for some of what’s gone on this season but not today.

Ian Rush was a hero to me growing up and I was devastated when he went to Juve, but breaking up the Barnes Beardsley, Aldridge front three was a backwards step. Rush had lost something in that 12 months and Aldo was better suited to the system. Confident we won’t get a repeat. Very different times.

Can’t understand Newcastle’s position on this. They have a chance to sell for a British transfer record and could have claimed the morale high ground (assuming that Liverpool make that bid). Potential signings will be looking on with interest.

The champions of the two biggest leagues in the world didn’t participate so it’s a struggle to take it seriously, I don’t know anyone who watched it.

Terrible. Really dislike these changes. All for change that makes the game better but never heard anyone asking for this.

He’s a 26 year old lad who has played in some of the best games of my LFC supporting life. He’s managed the situation badly and been poorly advised but let’s give him a break. We’ve all made plenty of decisions that we look back on with regret, why do we think that a young footballer is different?
